What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us."
- A.W. Tozer

Core Beliefs

We believe in one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe the Father is the first person of the Trinity. He is spirit. While co-equal in essence, He is in authority over the Son and the Holy Spirit.

We believe Jesus is the second person of the Trinity. He, the Son of God, is fully God and fully man. His death on the cross atoned the sins of all people. He was resurrected by the power of God and will return to earth again.

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit convicts non-Christians. The Holy Spirit gives assurance, wisdom, comfort, and strength to Christians for the glory of God. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells a person at conversion.

We believe salvation is the free gift of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. Salvation is found solely in trusting Jesus Christ as one's personal Lord and Savior.

We believe the church is the body of Christ on earth. We gather to glorify God through devotion to prayer, fellowship, worship, Biblical teaching, service, outreach and the observance of baptism and communion.

We believe all people will be resurrected for a Day of Judgment. Believers will spend eternity in fellowship with God and each other. Unbelievers will spend eternity in hell.

We believe the Bible, comprised of sixty-six books, is inspired by God. The Bible is without error in the original manuscripts.

We believe the Bible is the final authority on all matters of faith and practice. However, in areas where the Bible is silent, each believer is to be led by the Holy Spirit, to whom he or she is ultimately accountable.
