Troy Wong
Senior Pastor
Back in the summer of 1982, before his last year of high school, God saved Troy. While an undergrad at USC, God crystallized a calling to pastoral ministry. Troy graduated from Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology and one month after graduation, Troy and Julie were married. In the first eight years of their marriage, they produced four children. Troy has shepherded the same congregation since 1994, when a team of about 20 faith filled people started a church that would later become Gateway Friends Church.
Sung Kim
Executive Pastor
Sung is a graduate of UC San Diego and Talbot School of Theology. At Gateway, Sung leads the missions ministries along with executive duties of the church. He also serves as the denomination's Missions Director. He is married to Grace and they have four sons, which makes for a lively home! When he's not with family or at church, he passionately roots for the Dodgers or is pedaling on his bike. More than that, he loves serving God and his people!
Steve Yap
Church Community Pastor
Steve grew up a Roman Catholic, but later accepted Christ as his personal savior and attended Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa. Steve is a graduate of Loyola Marymount and currently works at Boeing. He completed his Masters in Christian Apologetics from the Talbot School of Theology in 2003. He is married to Janet and has two children. Steve plays an integral part of our church community with his shepherding heart.
Aimee Lo
Children's Ministry Director
Aimee is not only in charge of our children's ministry, but she is also our administrator of adult Sunday classes. Her family first came to Gateway through an outreach event in 2005 and since then have become vital members of Gateway. She is a vibrant part of our church ministry and loves our children as her own!
Kristine Chin
Church Administrator
Kristine has been the Church Administrator since 2002, making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes. Before working for Gateway, she worked in the field of Human Resources and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from USC. Kristine and her husband Victor have three children and reside in Rowland Heights.
